Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Moonlit Audio Book mobile application and related services ("Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and any child who uses the app under your supervision. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility & accounts

- A parent or legal guardian (13 years or older) must set up and supervise use of the app

- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for how children use the Service

- You must provide accurate information when signing in and keep your device secure

- Guest mode and signed-in accounts are subject to our usage limits and membership rules

The Service

Moonlit Audio Book provides AI-narrated bedtime stories and related features for personal, non-commercial family use. Narration audio is generated on our servers and played in the app (streamed and/or from a local device cache). We may add, change, or remove stories, voices, features, or content at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

- Copy, redistribute, publicly perform, or resell story content or audio outside the app

- Attempt to bypass membership limits, security, or access controls

- Use the Service in any unlawful way or in a manner that harms other users or our infrastructure

- Reverse engineer or scrape the Service except where permitted by law

Subscriptions & payments

- Premium features may require a paid subscription billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store

- Product IDs, prices, and billing periods are shown in the app and your store account

- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your store account before the renewal date

- Refunds and cancellations follow the policies of the store where you purchased

- We do not store your full payment card details

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, including how story audio is delivered (cloud narration with optional local caching) and how we use Google Firebase for analytics when a parent opts in. Please read it at `/legal/privacy` on our website or in the app.

You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or via `/legal/delete-account` without installing the app.

Intellectual property

Story texts, narration, artwork, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. Your subscription or free access grants a limited, personal, non-transferable license to listen within the app — not to download and redistribute content outside the app except where offline caching is explicitly provided for personal use.

Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Moonlit Audio Book IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PARENTAL SUPERVISION, MEDICAL, EDUCATIONAL, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the app at any time and cancel subscriptions through your app store account.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date on the published Terms page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
